The Courthouse Hotel Shoreditch is a 5-star property that combines the grandeur of a Grade 2 listed Baroque style building with laid-back personalized service, forming the perfect alchemy. We are located in the centre of Shoreditch, famed for its buzzing nightlife and eccentric charm.

Our facilities consist of 128 guest rooms and suites, a unique restaurant concept, 3 bars including a roof top bar, 11 event spaces, a 196-seat screening room, 2 lane bowling alley, luxurious spa, swimming pool and fitness centre.

As a Sous Chef your responsibilities will be but not restricted to:

Excellent cooking skills with strong understanding of produce and ingredient

Knowledge of food costing and producing food recipe as per menu layout

Customer service oriented with an outgoing, upbeat and positive personality.

Leadership qualities and professional well-groomed appearance.

Excellent organizational skills with the ability to multi-task and meet multiple deadlines.


The successful candidate will have the following experience and skills:

To be fully aware, competent in and follow at all times

Comply with Food safety Policy and audits

Hotel health & safety policy, procedures and audits

Hotel security procedures

Hotel facilities and opportunities to promote these to customers

Customer service and guest experience in all F&B outlets

Company and Hotel performance and conduct guidelines, policies and procedures

Implement training, assessment, and annual performance evaluations in cooperation with HR.

To make duty rotas, holiday planning in accordance with forecasted business levels.

To be responsible for all F&B outlets including Meeting & Events

Organize and conduct training for cooking methods for kitchen
