An experienced, polished, and adaptable Private Chef is required to support an UHNW household in Knightsbridge over a two-week period in December. The ideal candidate will bring a refined, elegant cooking style, strong presentation skills, and the ability to deliver beautifully balanced meals with a light touch. This role requires discretion, professionalism, and the ability to work seamlessly within a private household environment.
With a health-conscious approach, the Chef will be responsible for preparing daily lunches and dinners for the principals, with the flexibility to prepare breakfasts when requested in advance. The principals are looking for nutritious and delicious meals, made from fresh, seasonal ingredients that have been sourced locally on a daily basis they enjoy The River Café, Ottolenghi, and California-style modern cooking, and generally prefer gluten- and dairy-free dishes.
Starting mid/late morning, the Chef will work until after dinner, with a break to be taken in the afternoon, depending on the principals schedule for the day. The Chef will be in charge of kitchen management, including menu planning, grocery shopping, and stocking the kitchen. The role is to start around the 1st of December, for about two weeks and will be on a self-employed basis.
DUTIES TO INCLUDE
Plan and prepare daily meals in line with the principals preferred style: light, elegant, fresh, and high-quality dishes with a focus on clean flavours and seasonal produce
Provide refined family-style lunch and dinner service, and occasional more formal dinner service when they are entertaining
Maintain a spotless, organised kitchen at all times, including food storage, cleanliness, and stock rotation
Undertake food shopping and ingredient sourcing to a high standard, selecting premium produce from trusted suppliers
Adapt menus based on preference, appetite, and daily requirements
Ensure all meals are delivered punctually and with consistency while maintaining complete confidentiality and discretion
ESSENTIAL CRITERIA:
Strong experience working as a Chef working for high-net-worth clients
Deep knowledge of healthy, nutritious cooking and dietary balance
Organised, self-motivated, and able to manage all aspects of kitchen operations
Flexible, discreet, and professional in both attitude and presentation
Strict on hygiene procedures
Willingness to be adaptable to occasional schedule changes
Fluent in English
