An international bank is entering a major new strategic area: Artificial Intelligence. The bank is seeking a senior leader to guide its AI journey from strategy through implementation. This role will report directly to the Chief Operating Officer, providing strategic leadership on AI for the business.
Key Responsibilities:

Define and implement the bank's AI strategy, translating vision into actionable initiatives

Utilise business experience and methods whilst building the long-term roadmap

Lead AI initiatives across multiple areas, including compliance, AML, HR, internal audit, and other functions

Drive change management: secure buy-in, shift mindsets, and oversee staff upskilling programs

Collaborate with technology, security, and business teams to ensure alignment and governance

Build the AI function from the ground up, with ownership over strategy and execution
Key Requirements:

Proven strategic leader with the ability to turn ideas into tangible results

Hands-on with strategy: able to drive implementation without performing technical development

Experience across multiple business areas, not limited to client-facing functions

Strong understanding of governance, security, and risk-conscious environments

Excellent stakeholder management and influence skills

Collaborative, ambitious, and ego-free mindset

Experience in technology and familiarity with Python and other AI/ML tools
