Working as the Business Development Manager / Sales Manager you will play a pivotal role in driving the growth and success of the company. This position requires a proactive and strategic individual with a strong commercial acumen who can identify new business opportunities, develop and implement effective strategies, and foster strong client relationships.
As the Business Development Manager / Sales Manager you will work closely with the CEO to achieve the company's objectives, particularly sustainable growth and service excellence.

DUTIES
Your duties as the Business Development Manager / Sales Manager include:
Business Development:
- Work closely with the CEO to identify, explore, and pursue new business opportunities to expand the company's client base and market presence
- Manage the tendering process for new work, including bid preparation, proposal development, and contract negotiation
- Develop and maintain a strong understanding of market trends, competitor activities, and potential growth areas
Strategy and Marketing:
- Develop and implement innovative business development and marketing strategies to achieve revenue targets and enhance brand visibility
- Utilise HubSpot to manage marketing campaigns, track performance, and optimise results
- Assist in creating marketing materials and campaigns, ensuring consistent brand messaging and effective communication of our services and values
Operational Efficiency and Service Delivery:
- Optimise operational efficiency to ensure the seamless delivery of exceptional cleaning services to our clients
- Monitor service quality, identify areas for improvement, and implement solutions to enhance client satisfaction and retention
- Collaborate with operations teams to ensure effective resource allocation, process optimisation, and adherence to quality standards
Client Relationship Management:
- Build and maintain strong, long-lasting relationships with key clients and partners, acting as a trusted advisor and meeting their needs
- Proactively identify opportunities to expand services with existing clients and develop new partnerships
- Address client inquiries and concerns promptly and professionally, ensuring the highest levels of customer service
Sustainability Champion:
- Champion our commitment to environmental responsibility, promoting internal and external sustainable practices
- Ensure that all business development and operational activities align with our B Corp values and environmental objectives
CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS
Qualifications and Experience:
- Proven experience in a Business Development Role in the cleaning industry in the UK
- Strong track record of achieving sales targets, winning new business, and managing client relationships
- Experience in tendering for new work, including bid preparation and contract negotiation
- Proficiency in using HubSpot or similar CRM and marketing automation tools
