Your new companyOur client runs a nurturing residential care home dedicated to supporting children and young people. The organisation upholds the highest standards of care and professionalism.Your new roleAs Deputy Manager, you will play a pivotal role in supporting the Registered Manager in the day-to-day operations of the home. You'll lead and develop a dedicated staff team, ensure compliance with childcare legislation, and uphold the home's Statement of Purpose. Your responsibilities will span operational management, safeguarding, care planning, behaviour support, and quality assurance. You'll also participate in the on-call rota and act as a role model for both staff and residents.Full-time hours: 40 hours per weekWhat you'll need to succeedTo excel in this role, you should have:

  • NVQ Level 5 in Leadership for Health and Social Care (or be willing to undertake it)
  • Proven experience in residential care settings
  • Strong leadership and team management skills
  • A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people
  • Excellent communication and organisational abilities
