Job Opportunity: Project Engineer - Water
Location: London (with hybrid working options)
Salary: Up to 拢60,000 + comprehensive benefits package
Are you an experienced Project Engineer ready to take your career to the next level? Based in the Thames Water region, you'll play a vital role in driving the effective and economical design, procurement, and delivery of projects in the water sector.
About the Role
Reporting directly to the Project Manager, you'll collaborate closely with the Project and Construction teams to ensure successful project execution. From cost control and payment applications to managing client relationships and contract documentation, you'll be central to keeping the project on track and aligned with contract standards.
What You'll Do:
路Financial Management: Keep project costs within budget and submit payment applications on schedule.
路Project Coordination: Support project planning and maintain up-to-date contract programmes and progress reports.
路Client & Stakeholder Relations: Build and maintain strong, professional client and stakeholder relationships.
路Documentation & Compliance: Manage contract files, assist in compiling O&M manuals, and prepare construction completion documents.
路Subcontractor Liaison: Work with suppliers and subcontractors to ensure timely and quality project execution.
路Continuous Improvement: Engage in professional development to stay current with industry innovations, Health & Safety, and CDM standards.
What You'll Bring:
路Qualifications: HNC in Mechanical Engineering
路Contract Knowledge: Familiarity with NEC contract conditions and experience in supply chain management.
路Sector Experience: Knowledge of water treatment processes and Health & Safety best practices.
路Skills & Competencies: Strong project planning, cost control, risk management, and a collaborative, solution-oriented approach.
