Our client is looking for a Network Operations Design Architect/Engineer to take a leading role in shaping and delivering high-quality network services across a complex enterprise environment. This is a strategic yet hands-on role that blends network architecture, operational oversight, and team leadership.
Role: Network Operations Design Architect/Engineer
Experience: 10+ years
Location: London
Working Days: Once a month in the office
Duration: Contract - 6 months
Pay: Inside IR35
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and continuously improve WAN, WiFi, and LAN services to meet evolving business needs
- Ensure service availability, performance, and scalability while managing risk and cost
- Provide technical leadership, mentoring, and support for junior team members
- Collaborate with cross-functional IT teams to ensure seamless service delivery
- Drive the technical roadmap and support project delivery with architectural input
- Manage third-party service providers and support transition of new services into operation
- Contribute to process improvement, documentation, and service governance
What We're Looking For:
- Strong experience in network architecture and operational leadership
- Confident communicator with the ability to engage senior stakeholder
- Strategic thinker with a hands-on approach to solving technical challenges
- Broad knowledge of enterprise networking technologies and best practices
- Experience with ITIL processes and financial management of IT services
- A collaborative leader who can influence, mentor, and drive improvement
