Our client, an international consultancy with deep expertise in sustainable engineering design, is seeking a Resident Engineer to oversee construction and installation activities on high-profile projects located in London.

About the Role:

As a Resident Engineer, you will act as the primary liaison between design teams, contractors, and project stakeholders. You will ensure technical compliance, manage site coordination, and oversee the quality and progress of construction works related to mechanical, electrical, and public health systems.

Key Responsibilities:

- Oversee site works to ensure compliance with designs, specifications, and safety standards

- Coordinate with contractors, consultants, and client teams to resolve technical issues

- Review and approve shop drawings, materials, and method statements

- Lead site meetings and report project progress to stakeholders

- Ensure quality, timeline, and environmental standards are met

- Support system commissioning, testing, and handover

- Maintain clear and accurate site documentation.

Key Requirements:

- Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Building Services Engineering (or related field)

- 5+ years’ experience in a site-based engineering role

- Strong knowledge of MEP systems in complex environments (e.g., data centres, hospitals)

- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills

- Familiar with health and safety and construction quality standards

- Ability to interpret engineering drawings

- Professional registration (or working towards) is a plus.
