Job Responsibilities

  • Support the Highways Development Control Manager in managing highways and development control.

  • Act as a statutory consultee for planning applications with transport impact.

  • Authorize and monitor highway works, including pre-application advice and construction management plans.

  • Manage travel plans, planning applications, legal agreements, and highway adoptions.

  • Help grow the service by identifying and securing third-party income.

  • Deputize for the Highways Development Control Manager when needed.

  • Engage effectively with customers and stakeholders, ensuring excellent customer service.

Person Specifications
Must Have

  • Experience in highways development control and planning.

  • Strong understanding of transport impact assessments.

  • Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities effectively.

  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.

Nice to Have

  • Experience in identifying and securing third-party income.

  • Familiarity with legal agreements related to highways.

  • Knowledge of customer service excellence practices.
