Fire & Security Engineer

Salary: 40,000 - 45,000 (DOE)
An established and growing fire and security company is seeking a skilled engineer to join their London operations. If you're experienced in both installation and servicing-and enjoy working on varied systems-this role could be the right fit.
Role Summary:
In this role, you'll be hands-on with the installation, service, and commissioning of a broad range of life safety and security systems. One day may involve fitting a fire alarm in a commercial space; the next, troubleshooting a CCTV system or configuring access control to spec.
Key Responsibilities:
Install, maintain, and repair fire detection systems, intruder alarms, CCTV, and access control
Identify and resolve system faults with minimal downtime
Commission systems to ensure they meet current standards and compliance requirements
Maintain accurate records, including reports and service logs
Communicate effectively with clients, offering clear updates and technical support
What We're Looking For:
Proven experience in installing and servicing both fire and security systems
Good technical knowledge of fire alarms, intruder detection, CCTV, and access control
Up-to-date understanding of British Standards and fire safety regulations
Full UK driving licence
Strong initiative, with the ability to work independently or as part of a team
Excellent communication skills and a professional, customer-oriented approach
Desirable Extras:
Familiarity with Galaxy systems and a variety of fire alarm panels
CSCS/ECS certification
IPAF or PASMA qualifications
