A renowned private medical eye clinic on Harley Street (Oxford Street station) is looking to recruit an Ophthalmic Technician to deal with the growing demand. Training will be provided. The Ophthalmic Technician will carry out pre- and post-operative ophthalmic testing for the patients as well as help with surgical and admin duties within the nursing team, They will also play a pivotal role in the patient journey and help to coordinate the management plan required for the patient. This role pays up to £28k. Ophthalmic Technician responsibilities:• Clinical Imaging • Perform a wide range of advanced imaging tests, including: • Macula and Peripheral OCT (including Ultrawidefield and Navigated OCT) • OCT Angiography (OCT-A) • Fundus Autofluorescence (FAF) • Ultrawidefield Fundus Photography • Fluorescein Angiography (FFA) • Indocyanine Green Angiography (ICG) • Adaptive Optics (AO) • Microperimetry • Full-Field Stimulus Threshold (FST) • Electrophysiology tests (e.g., ERG, PERG, mfERG) • Biometry and Axial Length Measurements The Ophthalmic Technician Qualifications and Experience:· Ability to demonstrate initiative.· Approachable, polite, and flexible with excellent communication skills.· Ideally, but not necessarily recent experience in an ophthalmic environment.· Ability to multi-task and prioritise tasks.· Enthusiastic, dynamic and highly motivated with a passion for delivering the highest quality care"
