Business Development Manager - Memberships & Subscriptions

Denholm Associates is proud to be partnering with one of the UK's most respected energy media brands to recruit a Business Development Manager for their fast-growing premium membership and subscription offering.

This is a unique chance to join a high-growth, high-impact team working at the heart of the UK's energy transition - engaging directly with C-suite executives and shaping conversations at the highest levels of industry.

The Opportunity

Our client is a leading energy insight platform, well-established across news, digital media, and industry events. They have recently launched a premium executive membership community that connects senior energy leaders with powerful insights, networking opportunities, and high-level events.

Since its debut in late 2023, this exclusive membership has attracted over 50 senior executives and has hosted high-profile events featuring major figures from politics and industry.

To capitalise on this momentum, we're recruiting a London-based Business Development Manager to sell both digital subscriptions and premium memberships to energy sector decision-makers.

Your Role

Working closely with the membership leadership team, you'll:

  • Drive new membership sales by engaging senior leaders across the energy sector.
  • Sell corporate digital subscriptions to Energy sector organisations across the UK and beyond.
  • Identify and qualify sales leads through prospecting, outreach, events, and lead lists.
  • Own the full sales cycle - from first contact to close and onboarding.
  • Grow existing accounts by identifying new opportunities and ensuring strong renewal rates.
  • Use CRM tools to manage your pipeline and provide clear sales reporting.
  • Collaborate with marketing and product teams to shape proposition development and member value.

This is a hybrid role based in London, with regular in-person team and client meetings, as well as attendance at flagship energy events.

What We're Looking For

  • A track record of B2B sales success, ideally with experience selling to senior leaders or within the energy sector.
  • Expertise in subscription or membership-based sales, with a focus on long-term relationships and renewals.
  • Comfortable engaging with C-suite executives and building commercial rapport quickly.
  • A consultative, value-led sales approach - focused on understanding needs and shaping compelling propositions.
  • Strong CRM proficiency and pipeline discipline.
  • A proactive mindset - someone who is commercially curious, enthusiastic, and thrives in a fast-paced, scaling environment.
  • Based in or around London, and open to occasional UK travel.
