Job Title: Commercial Manager - Rail & Road Logistics (Major Infrastructure)
Location: West London / Hybrid Working
Salary: 80,000 - 95,000 + Package (Depending on Experience)

A unique opportunity has arisen for a Commercial Manager to join a top tier main contractor on an ambitious, high profile infrastructure project in West London. The Commercial Manager will take on a key role in the commercial and contractual management of rail and road logistics packages across a multi-million pound infrastructure in the capital. The role involves managing the movement and disposal of excavated materials across more than 20 active sites, interfacing with senior logistics leads, delivery teams and project stakeholders.

The Commercial Manager's key responsibilities will include:

  • Manage commercial and contractual functions of large-scale logistics and disposal works (rail and road).
  • Ensure accurate, timely and compliant issuing of notices and project correspondence.
  • Identify and communicate commercial risks and opportunities.
  • Prepare and agree applications for payment and payment certifications.
  • Manage variation, delay and claims registers in line with contract procedures.
  • Develop and maintain strong working relationships with delivery teams and supply chain partners.
  • Lead the preparation of CVRs, forecasts and cost reports.
  • Support change management, contract close-outs, and supply chain performance.
  • Advise site teams on commercial best practice and contract compliance


Commercial Managers considering this opportunity will need:

  • Strong background in commercial management on major infrastructure or civil engineering projects.
  • Direct experience managing logistics, disposal, or haulage packages involving bulk material movement.
  • Proficient in NEC contracts (ideally Option C) with solid contract administration and reporting skills.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement abilities across internal teams and external partners.
  • Demonstrated experience working in a joint venture or multi-stakeholder project environment is advantageous.
  • Ideally degree qualified in Quantity Surveying, Commercial Management, or similar.
