Commercial Manager - Change required to work for Principal Contractor Joint Venture on High Speed Rail Programme

Contract - Inside IR35
London Euston - Hybrid Working Arrangements in place.

Commercial Change Manager to lead and manage contractual Change under the NEC form of contract. Responsible for developing and negotiating principled commercial positions, managing the end to end compensation event process, and ensuring robust and timely quotation submissions that protect project value and contractual entitlement.

Previous experience working on large scale major rail/infrastructure construction projects with main contractors essential.
Strong working knowledge and practical experience of NEC contracts essential.
Demonstrable experience in producing and negotiating compensation event quotations.
Experience in managing others and working in large teams.
Excellent organizational and leadership skills required.

Responsibilities:
-Lead the identification, assessment and management of compensation events in line with NEC contract requirements
-Produce clear, substantiated quotations that reflect both contractual entitlement and project cost impacts
-Champion a principled and strategic commercial position in negotiations with Clients and Stakeholders
-Work collaboratively with delivery, planning, cost and legal teams to develop robust narrative and supporting documentation
-Maintain accurate and auditable records of change including Early Warnings, CE Submissions and Client response
-Support project teams with contract administration and interpretation of the NEC contract
-Contribute to the improvement of change management processes and tools across the project
-Influence and challenge senior stakeholders to ensure commercially favourable outcomes.
