Commercial Manager | Location: London (Hybrid – 2 days office, 1 day site) | Salary: Up to £65,000 per annum
Ford & Stanley are working with a leading UK train operating company to bring stability and sustainability to their Asset and Commercial department. They are seeking a Commercial Manager with strong experience in managing end-to-end construction projects.
This role requires excellent stakeholder management skills, with the ability to build effective relationships across operational teams, senior leadership, and external suppliers.

As Commercial Manager, your responsibilities will include:
- Managing applications for payments with accuracy and timeliness.
- Overseeing change control processes to ensure contract compliance and manage project variations.
- Contractor management and engagement.
- Producing periodic project forecasts and reports.
- Ensuring adherence to contract terms.
- Supporting procurement through pricing documents and associated materials.
- Risk management and mitigation.
Essential Experience
- Proven experience in commercial management.
- Ability to review and manage contractor variations.
- Experience in full lifecycle construction projects.
- Strong stakeholder management capabilities.
- amiliarity with JCT contracts (NEC experience also considered).
- Desirable: Understanding of Network Rail standards and ways of working.
