We are seeking a seasoned communications professional to lead the development and implementation of a comprehensive global corporate communications function. This pivotal role involves crafting a unified corporate narrative, refining our brand voice, and ensuring consistent, strategic messaging both internally and externally across the organisation.

 

Our client is a global exhibitions and publishing company with 13 offices worldwide. With a portfolio of over 115 events annually, it attracts more than 650,000 visitors, positioning itself as one of the leading players in the industry.

 

Key Responsibilities:

 

  • Corporate Narrative Development: Finalise and embed a cohesive corporate narrative, tone of voice, and visual identity. Translate these elements into a central communications plan that aligns with our strategic objectives.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Establish and integrate the communications function across the business by engaging key internal stakeholders, ensuring the function is visible, respected, and influential.
  • Communication Strategies: Develop and implement structured internal and external communication strategies that enhance cohesion across business units, reinforce corporate culture, and ensure stakeholder alignment.

 

Ideal Candidate Profile:

 

  • Experience: Demonstrated experience in corporate communications within fast-paced, matrixed environments such as events, media, or similar sectors.
  • Strategic Execution: Ability to balance strategic thinking with hands-on execution, managing all aspects from planning to delivery.
  • Relationship Management: Proven track record of building strong relationships and navigating competing demands diplomatically.

 

Preferred Background:

 

  • Experience in entrepreneurial, SME, or multi-brand environments.
  • Familiarity with navigating internal silos, matrix reporting structures, and culturally diverse global teams.
  • Exposure to internal and crisis communications, as well as digital channel management (e.g., website, social media, internal communication platforms).
