JOB SCOPE

The Floor Supervisor at Reubens Deli & Restaurant oversees front-of-house operations, ensuring smooth service, high standards, and an excellent guest experience. Acting as the link between staff, kitchen, and management, the role includes leading the floor team, resolving guest concerns, maintaining compliance, and supporting daily opening and closing duties, all while upholding Reubens tradition of warm, attentive hospitality.

Guest Experience & Service Quality

Ensure every guest receives warm, attentive, and professional service that reflects Reubens reputation for hospitality.

Greet and interact with guests, handle special requests, and resolve complaints quickly and tactfully.

Monitor service standards on the floor, providing coaching and feedback to staff where needed.

Lead by example in delivering excellent table service and maintaining a welcoming atmosphere.

Team Leadership & Staff Management

Supervise waiters, hosts, and support staff during service to ensure smooth and efficient operations.

Assign tables, manage staff rotations, and balance workloads throughout shifts.

Train and mentor new team members on Reubens standards, menu knowledge, and customer service etiquette.

Foster teamwork and communication, motivating the floor staff to perform at their best.

Operational Oversight

Oversee daily floor operations, ensuring tables are turned efficiently and service runs to schedule.

Coordinate closely with the kitchen and deli counter to maintain accuracy and speed of service.

Ensure dining areas, service stations, and entrances are kept clean, orderly, and inviting.

Assist with opening and closing procedures, including table setups, stock checks, and end-of-day reporting.

Standards, Compliance & Safety

Ensure staff follow health, safety, and hygiene regulations at all times.

Uphold company policies regarding service etiquette, grooming, and uniform standards.

Monitor and manage customer flow, ensuring compliance with fire safety and occupancy regulations.

Administration & Reporting

Handle basic administrative duties, such as logging incidents, shift handovers, or staff performance notes.

Support the Manager in implementing service improvements and gathering guest feedback.

Assist with scheduling and floor planning for busy periods, events, or holiday seasons.
