Astute's Power team is partnering with a leading principal contractor in the water treatment sector who are looking to recruit a Contracts Manager on a 18-month minimum contract for its London site.

The Contracts Manager role comes with a competitive day rate.

Key skills required for the Contracts Manager

  • Have regard for the contract procedures requiring formal notices, time limits and other parameters.
  • Ensure that the Project Team is fully aware of the prevalent constraints, conditions and contractual environment.
  • Ensure that proper mechanisms for risk transfer to subcontractors and insurance providers are identified and enforced.
  • Always protect the contractual position, enforcing the notification regime of the Contract. This is an NEC IChem E hybrid contract in the water industry including Compensation event management.
  • Prepare submissions for Contractual Claims / Compensation events and other contractually allowable relevant events.
  • Fully monitor and report exposure to Liquidated Damages.
  • Must hold experience in large construction projects, managing complex contract in the UK with NEC IchemE experience.
  • Ideal qualifications as either BSc Civil, Mechanical / Electrical Engineering or Quantity Surveyor
