Responsibilities

Prepare and cook meals daily for residents, ensuring a variety of choices, including cultural and dietary meals.
Order food supplies, manage stock, and ensure proper rotation.
Oversee the safe operation of the kitchen and compliance with all statutory requirements, including CQC and Environmental Health standards.

Person Specification

At least 6 months of experience in a residential kitchen setting for older people, particularly those living with Dementia, is desirable but not essential.
Relevant cooking qualifications are required.
Minimum certification in Food & Hygiene Level 2.
Ability to maintain accurate records.
Understanding of the dietary needs of older people.
Knowledge of health & safety and cooking processes.
Willingness to attend training courses relevant to the role.
Enhanced DBS clearance.
