The Cook role is for Alliston house - Residential Care Home for Older people living with Dementia.
- The cook will be required to prepare and cook meals for our residents on daily basis
- Make sure choice of meals are offered, including cultural and dietary meals
- Be responsible for ordering food supplies, taking stock and ensuring their rotation
- Will have overall responsibility for ensuring safe running of the kitchen and meeting all Statutory organisational requirements (CQC & Environmental Health).
- At least 6 months experience of working in a residential kitchen setting for older people over the age of 65 years living with Dementia is desirable, but not essential
- Need to hold relevant cooking qualifications
- Minimum certificate on Food & Hygiene Level 2
- Ability to maintain accurate records
- Understanding of the dietary needs for older people
- Knowledge of health & safety and cooking processes
- Attend training courses relevant to your role
- Enhanced DBS
- Post is for 21 hrs a week (Alternative Weekends & Bank Holidays) with opportunity to do extra hours if required
