Job Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and experiencedBusiness Studies Teacherto deliver one-to-one lessons to students with diverse needs, including those with SEND. In this role, you will have the opportunity to teach and support students who are unable to attend mainstream schooling, helping them engage with Business Studies through tailored and accessible lessons. Lessons may take place in students' homes, libraries, or other agreed-upon locations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliverindividualised Business Studies lessonsthat are aligned with the student's academic level and learning objectives.
  • Teach a range of topics, including business principles, management, marketing, finance, and entrepreneurship, atGCSE, A-Level, or equivalent levels.
  • Adapt lesson content and teaching methods to support students with SEND and other learning challenges.
  • Track and assess student progress, providing regular feedback to students, parents, and staff.
  • Work collaboratively with pastoral teams to ensure holistic support for each student.
  • Maintain thorough records of lessons and progress in line with educational requirements.

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)or significant experience teaching Business Studies.
  • Experience teachingGCSE and/or A-Level Business Studiesis essential.
  • Experience working withSEND studentsis highly desirable.
  • Excellent knowledge of Business Studies curriculum and related topics.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and inspire students in a one-to-one setting.
  • Flexibility to work in various locations, including students homes or other designated learning environments.
  • A validDBS check(or willingness to undergo one).
