A well know, legal 500 law firm based in the City of London is seeking a Credit Controller, paying up to 30,000 plus benefits, to join the growing Finance team.
The role will be primarily working on a really flexible basis, the accounts team primarily work from home , but there will be initial training on site as well as team meetings, so travel and accessibility to London is a must.
The role will be supporting the accounts team with all aspects of debt management and control, including maintaining and providing an effective debt control system for the firm. Duties will include the following:
- Collection of outstanding debt by telephone and email
- Actively meeting with our client and AP teams to build good relationship
- Managing the collection of debts and their status
- Preparing weekly and monthly analysis of debtors for internal management purposes
- Liaising with Partners and other fee earners with regard to queries from clients on unpaid bills
- Keeping the Operations Manager fully informed of issues, and providing suggestions and solutions to deal with them
- Sending out monthly statements to clients and assisting with mail merges for the purpose of sending monthly statements
- Assisting with projects and reports as and when needed
- Maintaining an up to date and accurate record of client account
The ideal candidate will have at least 1 years experience working in credit control and ideally working within either a law firm or professional service. You will have experience of changing debt both on the phone as well as via email, having the confidence to build lasting relationships with external and internal shoulder and clients. Process driven, highly analytical as well as someone who likes to provide solutions to challenges.
