LEAD CREDIT SCORECARD MODELLER

An established purpose-driven financial services provider is hiring a Lead Credit Scorecard Modeller to develop its credit decisioning and portfolio analytics capabilities. Reporting directly to the CRO, this role combines hands-on modelling with strategic input into credit risk and acquisition strategies.

THE ROLE

The responsibilities include:

  • Leading end-to-end credit scorecard development: data preparation, modelling, variable selection, testing, and implementation
  • Monitoring model performance and building dashboards to track KPIs and identify areas for improvement
  • Analysing portfolio trends and providing strategic input to improve risk performance and acquisition outcomes
  • Supporting the integration of new data sources such as Open Banking and credit bureau data into strategy and modelling
  • Ensuring full documentation and compliance with relevant model governance standards

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

  • 4+ years' experience building credit scorecards from scratch
  • Advanced knowledge of logistic regression and credit modelling techniques
  • Experience with model monitoring and portfolio performance analysis
  • Strong technical skills in Python, SQL, SAS and R
  • Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills
