Data Architect - Government -London/Hybrid - 9 months - £600+ per day inside IR35

A central government organisation are recruiting for an interim Data Architect/Database Analyst on adual role - 50% DBA and 50% Data Architect to provide DBA cover and Data Architect knowledge and experience to support both projects on the organisations workplan and the definition and implementation of their data strategy, standards and infrastructure.

The sucessful candidate will play a leading role in designing a data strategy for the organisation and the role will also include providing DBA cover for the IT Infrastructure team.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background of operational database administration and support in financial services operational environments.

Experience
  • Minimum of 10 years' relevant experience
  • Extensive experience of designing and implementing data architectural models and the design of a data model and data dictionary
  • Experience in the use of cloud-based (in particular Microsoft) data management tools and services
  • Assessing and implementing data process improvements, and writing clear and concise business & technical requirements
  • Excellent analytical skills with a highly structured, organised, and meticulous approach that can be evidenced from previous experience
  • Application of process automation where beneficial, assessing and presenting benefits, costs, and risks etc.
  • Ability to contribute to internal process to support the design of Power BI reports/dashboards and the underlying semantic model, working with stakeholders to understand requirements and present data in a way that provides meaningful insights
  • Desirable experience in investment banking operational environments and an understanding of trade processing workflows relating to Bond and Money Markets

The role requires SC level security clearance so candidates must meet UK footprint requirements to be eligible for vetting (UK residence for 3 out of last 5 years). Preference will be given for candidates who are SC security cleared.
