Owen Reed is looking to recruit a motivated Records Manager for a top law firm in London.

Role/Responsibilities

Responsibilities include:

• Having day-to-day management of the records function, escalating any issues to the Facilities Manager

as appropriate.

• Archiving, retrieving, and returning deeds and wills as required.

• Retrieving and returning files as required.

• Handling archiving queries promptly and accurately via email and Teams.

• Providing accurate instructions to our archiving storage company to ensure all collections and

deliveries are prompt and complete.

• Providing inductions to relevant new joiners on our records service and procedures.

• Providing monthly reports on workload activity and delivery, making recommendations for additional

resource if required.

• Assisting the Head of Business Services with annual reviews of our archiving and destruction policies,

to update processes as required.

• Assisting the Head of Business Services with ongoing electronic and hard copy destruction projects.

PERSON SPECIFICATION

• A minimum of two years’ previous experience of working in a records/archiving role within a law firm.

• Good understanding of GDPR regulations and experience of undertaking destruction projects would be

preferable.

• Excellent communication and time management skills.

• High standards of customer service and attention to detail
