What does a Regulatory Affairs Specialist do?The Regulatory Affairs Specialist will conduct in-depth reviews of regulatory matters for food and feed supplements within the EU, UK, and other regions. This role involves linking with authorities, consultants, and professional bodies on all regulatory matters, participating in company compliance initiatives, and providing training and troubleshooting support.

- Ensure regulatory compliance with food and feed safety, quality, and defence as it relates to UK, EU, and GFSI (BRC) requirements, Organic, Halal, FAMI QS, and Kosher.
- Monitor changes in legislation and regulatory requirements, proactively assessing the impact on business and updating compliance protocols.
- Support the development and implementation of regulatory strategies for existing and new ingredients/products.
- Provide regulatory review of product compliance for the quality department.
- Coordinate with authorities for necessary authorisations and licenses.
- Support the design and maintenance of specifications, ensuring all information meets relevant EU regulation requirements.
- Provide training for quality and technical teams in Europe.
- Actively support QA department tasks according to workload and priorities.
- Provide support to the commercial and marketing team to verify regulatory compliance.
- Assist in the management of crises and incidents as part of the management team.
- 5+ years of technical or regulatory experience in food, feed, fine chemicals, pharmaceutical ingredients, or chemical distribution.
- Highly analytical and organised with keen attention to detail.
- Ability to identify problems and provide systematic solutions.
- Excellent multitasking and communication skills.
- Real team player – able to work with both senior and junior employees in a professional and inclusive manner.
- High level of business English.
- Self-motivated with strong administration skills in Microsoft Office.
