ELECTRICAL BUILDING SERVICES ENGINEER
Qualifications and Experience
- British citizen or otherwise have the right to work in the UK
- Degree qualified in Electrical Engineering
- Experience: minimum 2 years' experience up to senior level working as an Electrical (Building Services) Design Engineer (preferably in the UK)
- Strong design skills
- Preferential but not essential experience in:
- Wiring regulations (BS 7671)
- Relevant British Standards
- Education, leisure, residential and mixed-use sectors
- BREEAM and its implications for M&E design
- Revit MEP
Job Description
The engineer will work on projects predominantly in the South-East, from concept/feasibility stage through design, construction, commissioning, and handover, under the guidance of a director.
Skills to be developed include (but are not limited to):
- Lighting and cable calculations
- Part L compliance checking
- Development of detailed designs including equipment selection and specification
- Design and specification of renewable technologies
- Liaison with utility companies for new and diversion of existing services
- Coordination with architects, clients, structural engineers, and contractors
- Project management
- Site inspections

- Salary negotiable based on experience
