Teaching Assistant

A larger than average Primary school in upper Waltham Forest are seeking a Teaching Assistant to support key children with additional needs, on a full-time basis. As well as assisting where necessary , the key responsibility will be to support a child within Key Stage 2. The Teaching Assistant must have great experience of being able to support children with Social, Emotional Mental Health , and possess patience and the ability to impose a sense of calm. Teaching Assistants that currently work here are supported incredibly by the school SENDCO and leadership team.

The school is a popular place to be, boasting brilliant space inside to accommodate the ever- growing level of SEND within school. There are designated spaces for high needs children throughout school, allowing them a greater chance to regulate their own feelings and behaviours.

The successful Teaching Assistant will benefit hugely by working under a knowledgeable, dedicated and nurturing SENDCO.

School hours are (Apply online only), and the role will be 5 days per week. There is also a very strong chance that this position will continue into the new academic year.

Car parking is available on site.

Requirements

The desired Teaching Assistant  will have;

-        A fully enhanced DBS check registered to the update service

-        Experience of supporting SEMH children
