A progressive secondary school in Islington is looking for a Graduate Teaching Assistant to provide academic and pastoral support across various subject areas. Perfect for a recent graduate interested in teaching, psychology, or working with young people.
This is a fantastic chance to develop classroom experience, assist students in reaching their potential, and gain insight into life in a secondary school setting.
Your Role Will Include:
- Supporting students individually and in small groups during lessons
- Helping with lesson preparation and classroom routines
- Assisting with subject-specific interventions (especially English and Maths)
- Promoting positive behaviour and classroom focus
You'll need:
- A degree in any subject and an interest in education
- Patience and excellent interpersonal skills
- Some experience with young people (informal or formal) is a bonus
- A proactive, hands-on approach
