1:1 Year 1 Teaching Assistant - WestminsterLocation: WestminsterSchedule: Monday to Friday, 8:30am - 3:30pm

A well-regarded primary school in Westminster is seeking a dependable and proactive Teaching Assistant to provide dedicated 1:1 support for a bright and capable Year 1 pupil with emotional regulation needs. This full-time role focuses on developing a consistent, trusting relationship that supports the child emotionally and academically-particularly by helping to extend their learning in key areas.

The role is expected to continue into Year 2 from September, offering valuable continuity and a real opportunity to make a lasting impact.

• Be confident in managing behaviour through relationship-building and emotional understanding

• Be academically strong, especially in English and Maths, to support high-level learning

• Bring patience, consistency, and a calm presence to support the pupil's daily experience

• Ideally have experience working 1:1 with pupils who have emotional or SEN needs

• Be committed to continuing into Year 2 to provide long-term support

• Experience in a similar TA or 1:1 support role, ideally within KS1

• A solid understanding of the KS1 curriculum

• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)

• Relevant professional references and, if applicable, overseas police checks
