SANZA Teaching Agency is working with a welcoming and inclusive primary school in Haringey that is looking to appoint a SEND Teaching Assistant for a September 2025 start. This is a part-time morning role, working 08:30am-12:30pm, Monday to Friday, supporting a small group of pupils in EYFS and KS1 with special educational needs.
This is an excellent opportunity for a nurturing and experienced SEND Teaching Assistant who enjoys working in early years and lower primary settings, and is confident supporting pupils with additional needs in small groups.
Role Highlights:
- SEND Teaching Assistant working mornings only across EYFS and KS1
- Support a group of 4-5 pupils with identified SEND needs
- Deliver targeted interventions and help with emotional regulation, language, and early learning
- Contribute to EHCP targets and liaise with the class teacher and SENCO
- Assist with play-based learning in EYFS and phonics, reading and early number in KS1
- Encourage positive behaviour and consistent classroom routines
What We're Looking For:
- Experienced SEND Teaching Assistant with a background supporting EYFS and KS1 pupils
- Calm, proactive and adaptable, with an understanding of Autism, Speech and Language Delay or global developmental needs
- Able to work with a group of 4-5 children with differing needs across EYFS and KS1
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Someone passionate about inclusion and early childhood development
- SEND qualifications or training are highly desirable
