SANZA Teaching Agency is working with a welcoming and inclusive primary school in Haringey that is looking to appoint a SEND Teaching Assistant for a September 2025 start. This is a part-time morning role, working 08:30am-12:30pm, Monday to Friday, supporting a small group of pupils in EYFS and KS1 with special educational needs.

This is an excellent opportunity for a nurturing and experienced SEND Teaching Assistant who enjoys working in early years and lower primary settings, and is confident supporting pupils with additional needs in small groups.

Role Highlights:

  • SEND Teaching Assistant working mornings only across EYFS and KS1
  • Support a group of 4-5 pupils with identified SEND needs
  • Deliver targeted interventions and help with emotional regulation, language, and early learning
  • Contribute to EHCP targets and liaise with the class teacher and SENCO
  • Assist with play-based learning in EYFS and phonics, reading and early number in KS1
  • Encourage positive behaviour and consistent classroom routines

What We're Looking For:

  • Experienced SEND Teaching Assistant with a background supporting EYFS and KS1 pupils
  • Calm, proactive and adaptable, with an understanding of Autism, Speech and Language Delay or global developmental needs
  • Able to work with a group of 4-5 children with differing needs across EYFS and KS1
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Someone passionate about inclusion and early childhood development
  • SEND qualifications or training are highly desirable
