About the Teaching Assistant Role:

As a Teaching Assistant, you'll work closely with teachers and students, playing an important role in both classroom activities and individual pupil support. You'll gain first-hand experience of school life in East London and build a strong foundation for a future in teaching.

Key Responsibilities as a Teaching Assistant:

  • Assist the class teacher with planning, preparation, and classroom management
  • Deliver 1:1 and small group support, especially for children with special educational needs (SEN)
  • Modify learning materials to suit individual student needs
  • Promote a positive learning environment and support students' emotional well-being

What We're Looking For:

  • A minimum of an undergraduate degree (any subject)
  • Ideally some experience working with children or within education
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • A patient, empathetic, and proactive attitude
  • A valid enhanced DBS certificate (on the Update Service) is a plus, but not essential
