A primary school in Harrow is working in collaboration with SANZA Teaching Agency to appoint a nurturing and skilled SEN Learning Support Assistant. This full-time role will commence in September 2025, providing vital support to Key Stage 2 pupils with a variety of additional learning needs. For the right candidate, a permanent position may be offered beyond the academic year.

The Role:As an SEN Assistant, you will be central to enabling children with special educational needs to thrive in a mainstream setting. Your role will include:

  • Offering personalised 1:1 and small group support for pupils with specific needs, including autism spectrum conditions, ADHD, and communication difficulties

  • Supporting the delivery of targeted interventions within and beyond the classroom

  • Working closely with teaching staff, the SENCO, and external specialists to ensure consistent implementation of individual support plans

  • Encouraging confidence, independence, and positive social interactions

  • Promoting an inclusive, structured, and caring learning environment

The Ideal Candidate:We are looking for someone who:

  • Has experience working with children with SEND, particularly within Key Stage 2

  • Demonstrates a calm and patient attitude with strong behaviour management skills

  • Communicates effectively with pupils, staff, and families
