A welcoming primary school in Harrow is partnering with SANZA Teaching Agency to recruit a caring and dedicated SEN Learning Support Assistant. Starting in September 2025, this full-time role will involve providing targeted support to Key Stage 2 pupils with a range of additional learning needs. For the right candidate, there may be the opportunity to transition into a permanent position.
About the Role:As an SEN Assistant, you will play a key role in supporting the academic and personal development of children with special educational needs in a mainstream classroom. Your responsibilities will include:

Providing tailored 1:1 and small group support for pupils with needs such as autism, ADHD, and speech and language challenges

Assisting with the delivery of structured interventions and learning activities

Working in partnership with teaching staff, the SENCO, and external professionals to follow and implement individual education plans

Encouraging pupil engagement, independence, and social development

Helping to maintain a calm, inclusive, and supportive classroom atmosphere
The Ideal Candidate Will:

Have previous experience supporting pupils with SEND, particularly in a Key Stage 2 setting

Show patience, understanding, and strong behaviour management skills

Communicate effectively with pupils, colleagues, and families

Demonstrate initiative, empathy, and a positive attitude
