Are you passionate about supporting young people in their education? A well-regarded mainstream secondary school in Greenwich is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join their team immediately. This is a full-time, long-term role that will continue through to the end of the academic year.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support students in and out of the classroom, both in groups and on a 1:1 basis

  • Assist teachers in preparing and delivering lessons

  • Help maintain a positive and inclusive classroom environment

  • Provide targeted support to students with additional needs

  • Contribute to the planning and evaluation of learning activities

  • Assist in managing classroom behaviour effectively

  • Work collaboratively with teachers, SEN staff, and pastoral teams

Requirements:

  • Previous experience working with children or young people (in education, childcare, or similar settings)

  • A valid Enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills

  • Patience, resilience, and a proactive attitude

  • Ability to work as part of a team and take initiative when needed
