The Role:

So, what will you be doing as a Senior Electronics Engineer?

  • Interpret high-level system requirements and translate them into detailed hardware specifications.
  • Lead electronics and/or firmware design, development, and reviews for systems, subsystems, and board-level solutions.
  • Ensure designs meet customer, legislative, and business requirements throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Oversee testing, integration, and formal qualification of systems.
  • Produce and review project documentation, including requirements, design specifications, and acceptance test procedures.
  • Liaise with customers and suppliers to resolve technical issues.

What are we looking for in our next Quality Engineer?

  • Degree (or equivalent) in an electronics or engineering discipline.
  • Broad knowledge of analogue and digital design, including EMC, electrical safety, and signal integrity.
  • Experience with schematic capture and PCB layout, design for manufacture, and lifecycle management.
  • Exposure to power electronics, high-speed digital, RF, or sonar technologies.
  • Familiarity with tools such as DOORS, ECAD, PMRP, and configuration management systems.
  • Strong understanding of component selection, obsolescence management, and environmental compliance (RoHS, REACH).
