This role sits within this businesses Global Engineering team and will report to the Head of Technical.

Info about what the Senior Electronics Engineer role entails

A Senior or Principal level Electronics Engineering role leading the development of new electro-mechanical products. Your core skill will be in Electronic Engineering and as the Lead Engineer you will manage the technical aspects of product design, coordinate with internal teams and external suppliers to keep projects on schedule and meet key deadlines, develop product and component specifications for new projects, review and approve product designs and test plans, and suggest improvements ensuring all designs and products meet safety regulations for safety critical environments.
 

Essential Requirements for the Senior Electronics Engineer

  • Educated to degree level in Electrical and Electronics engineering
  • Electronics hardware, analogue and digital circuit design
  • A good mix of analogue (transistors, capacitors etc) and digital electronics (FPGAs, Microcontrollers) etc
  • Full lifecycle product / cradle to grave product development experience
  • Electro mechanical product development experience
  • Good communicator, able to liaise with suppliers, 3rd party’s and stakeholders
  • Able to lead the project development lifecycle (not just support it)

Desirable Requirements for the Senior Electronics Engineer

  • Experience of mechanical design and CAD packages desirable
