About the Role

We are looking for a skilled and motivated Senior Engineer to join a growing fire and security engineering team. This is a key technical role where you will support, coach and develop the Service Engineering team while maintaining a strong hands-on technical presence.

You will play a vital role in ensuring fire and life safety systems are fully compliant, reliable and optimised - directly contributing to the safety, confidence and continuity of clients' people and businesses.

  • Conduct monthly engineer audits, reporting findings to the Service Supervisor (including logbooks, worksheet quality and compliance).

  • Provide technical support to colleagues, both remotely and through site attendance when required.

  • Act as a role model within the engineering team, setting standards for technical excellence, professionalism and documentation quality.

  • Support, mentor and develop trainee engineers, reporting progress or areas of concern to the Service Supervisor.

  • Build and maintain strong client relationships, identifying opportunities for additional works and feeding leads and survey information back to the sales team.

  • Ensure full compliance with Health & Safety, Security, Environmental and Technical policies.

  • Maintain engineering best practices, escalating any inconsistencies to senior engineering management.

  • Attend and contribute to engineer meetings when required.

  • Attend manufacturer and internal training courses to broaden product knowledge and technical capability.

Skills & Experience Required

We are looking for a technically strong engineer with a customer-focused mindset. Ideally, you will bring:

  • Excellent servicing, diagnostic and fault-finding skills, with the ability to resolve issues through logical elimination and technical recommendations.

  • Specialist experience across a broad and advanced range of systems, including software configuration and programming.

  • Fire systems experience such as:

    • Edwards EST3

    • Siemens Cerberus Pro

    • Notifier

    • GENT

  • VA/PA & EVACS systems:

    • Baldwin Boxall

    • Honeywell

    • TOA

    • Cameo

    • Siemens

  • Suppression systems experience:

  • A well-rounded engineering background with recognised qualifications and at least 2 years' experience operating at a senior technical level.

  • Strong IT skills, including Microsoft Word and Excel.

If you don't tick every box but have strong technical foundations and a willingness to learn, you are still encouraged to apply.

If you're a Senior Engineer looking to progress your career within a supportive, technically focused environment, this is an excellent opportunity to take the next step.
