An exciting opportunity has arisen for an ambitious Finance Analyst to join a established Commercial Finance team. This role offers the chance to support core business areas, from Retail performance to Product management and Buying support. The successful candidate will be instrumental in managing the cost base and guiding all stakeholders to achieve financial and non-financial objectives. With a salary range of £40,000 - £55,000 dependant in experience
What you'll do:
As a Finance Analyst, your role will be pivotal, responsible for investigating variances between actual results and budgeted figures while supporting decision-making processes through detailed insights and forecasts. Your collaboration with marketing teams will be crucial in monitoring spend and providing actionable recommendations. You will also manage the period-end management accounting process.

- Investigate and explain variances between actual results and budgeted/forecasted figures
- Support decision-making by providing detailed insights and forecasts
- Collaborate with marketing teams to monitor, manage spend and provide actionable recommendations
- Manage the period-end management accounting process
- Assist in the preparation of budgets and financial forecasts for various business units
- Prepare clear, concise, accurate and timely financial reports for all stakeholders
- Collaborate with digital, marketing, and supply chain teams to support decision making and future planning
- Analyse pricing strategies, cost structures, and market trends to optimize profitability
- Maintain and update financial models, databases, and reporting tools
What you'll bring:
- ACCA/CIMA studier ideally working in a Financial Planning and Analysis role or within a Commercial Finance function
- Expert modeller with advanced Excel skills
- Ability to create insightful presentations with visuals and supporting information
- Commercially curious with the ability to draw conclusions and propose recommendations
- Confident, approachable with an attention to detail highlighting problem-solving skills
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience of using ERP systems (e.g., Oracle) and other financial software applications
