What you'll do:
As an Assistant Vice President, Credit Manager - CIB, you will play a crucial role in reviewing credit applications and making informed recommendations to senior management. You will be responsible for maintaining a high quality of written and verbal work while actively monitoring the portfolio in accordance with internal policies and regulatory guidelines. Your role will also involve supporting the team in providing proactive solutions driven engagement with front line on deal specific or strategic developments. Furthermore, you will have the opportunity to support strategic initiatives within the CIB Credit for EMEA.
- Review credit applications received and make recommendations to senior management
- Monitor the portfolio in line with internal policies and applicable regulatory guidelines
- Make balanced, timely and thoughtful credit recommendations within the firm's risk appetite
- Support the team in providing proactive solutions driven engagement with front line on deal specific and/or strategic developments
- Support strategic initiatives as an AVP within CIB Credit for EMEA
- Develop knowledge of various types of industries, sectors, countries, players and financial and legal structures within Leverage Finance, TMT and Consumer & Healthcare credit
What you bring:
The ideal candidate for the Assistant Vice President, Credit Manager - CIB role brings strong experience working in financial institutions carrying out credit work for corporate or structured finance areas. You possess an in-depth knowledge of credit and risk principles, products, derivatives, and management. Your experience dealing with regulatory audits associated with credit will be invaluable in this role. Your strong interpersonal skills enable you to communicate effectively across all levels of staff. A Bachelor's degree in a relevant field is essential, and a Master's degree is preferred.
