As a Commercial Analyst, you’ll support both corporate and production finance activities and play a key role in driving financial clarity, optimising processes, and support decision-making. Reporting to the CFO, this position will join a small but growing team and requires a finalist or recently qualified individual who can start immediately. This will initially be for 3 months fixed term contract but has potential for longer term.
Key Responsibilities
- Financial Planning & Analysis: Build financial models assist with business planning, and streamline budgeting processes for media projects and corporate activities.
- Production Finance Management: Oversee budgets, cash flows, and cost reports for a slate of digital/physical productions, ensuring financial compliance and risk mitigation.
- Monitor Production revenues and spend; and guide production teams through financial processes ensuring best practice
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with production, finance, and sales teams to align forecasts with actuals, resolve variances, and identify growth opportunities.
- Reporting & Insights: Develop dashboards and management reports to monitor KPIs and enhance decision-making transparency across departments.
Ideal Candidate
- Finalist or fully qualified accountant (CIMA/ACCA/ACA)
- Proven experience as a Commercial Analyst, Finance Analyst, or similar, ideally within media, production, or a creative agency
- Strong Excel and financial modelling skills
- Confident communication skills, with a proactive and adaptable approach
- Hands-on experience with Xero (essential)
- Strong analytical skills with excellent attention to detail
- Collaborative, with excellent interpersonal and relationship-building skills
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, project-driven environment
