  • The position offers a competitive salary of £75,000 to £85,000, depending on experience.
  • The successful candidate will be responsible for strategic financial planning, team management, and ensuring compliance with financial regulations.

Our client is currently recruiting for a Commercial Finance Manager. The position will lead a small but very capable team, in supporting the sales organisation across the UK&I.

In addition to having strong financial skills and experience you will also have strong interpersonal capability, and feel comfortable in your ability to understand and influence non finance people in sales and operations positions to ensure all financial decisions align with both sales strategies and financial objectives. This will include strategic financial planning and analysis, combined with decision-making to support sales growth and profitability. Broader responsibilities will include:-

  • Team Management: Overseeing a small but highly effective team of finance professionals, providing guidance, mentor-ship, and performance management. To include setting goals, conducting performance reviews, and fostering a collaborative work environment.
  • Strategic Influence: Working closely with the sales leadership to influence strategic decisions, ensuring alignment between sales objectives and overall financial goals. This requires strong communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A): Developing and managing sales budgets, forecasts, and financial models. To include sales performance, identifying trends, and providing insights to inform strategic decision-making, variance analysis, identifying areas for improvement, and presenting findings to senior management.
  • Sales Support: Providing financial guidance and support to the sales teams. This could involve pricing analysis, deal structuring, profitability analysis, and identifying opportunities to improve sales efficiency.
  • Reporting & Communication: Preparing regular financial reports and presentations for senior management, highlighting key performance indicators (KPIs) and providing insights into sales performance.
  • Compliance: Ensuring adherence to all relevant financial regulations and internal controls

You are likely to already have great and similar experience in branded sectors such as FMCG, Retail, Travel and Consumer, be a qualified accountant CIMA / ACCA / ACA / CA / CPA and able to commute to West London.
