This role is for a Finance & Operations Manager, which will be the sole finance role within a an Events Management Company based in London. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing all financial operations and later support the HR function.

Our client is a growing SME Events Management Company, based in London. As they continue to grow they are looking to bring the finance function inhouse by hiring a new Finance & Operations Manager.
Description
Finance Manager Responsibilities
- Prepare monthly P&L, balance sheet, and cash flow reports
- Manage payroll, VAT returns, and HMRC payments
- Oversee budgeting, forecasting, and KPIs
- Handle accounts payable/receivable and bank reconciliations
- Manage staff expenses, credit cards, and FX transactions
- Review/approve POs and budgets in Procim
- Liaise with accountants (UK/US) and support year-end
- Train and support Procim users
Operations Manager Responsibilities
- Manage HR portal, leave, contracts, and appraisals
- Support recruitment, onboarding, and training
- Ensure timesheet tracking and freelancer allocation
- Oversee insurance, NDAs, and contract negotiations
- Maintain policies, IT, hardware, and compliance
- Order supplies and assist with team management
Profile
The successful Finance & Operations Manager should have:
- SME Finance Manager / Sole Accountant experience
- Experience implementing a finance function / systems within a start-up / small business
- Proficiency in financial software and excel
- HR / Ops experience is a benefit
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- High level of integrity and professionalism
Job Offer
- £50,000 - £60,000 (based on experience)
