Halliday Marx have partnered with a large media business to hire a Finance Manager on an Interim basis for 6 months.

Hybrid working (3 days in the office, 2 from home)

Responsibilities

  • Managing 2 people
  • Lead the development, implementation, and monitoring of financial control processes and policies
  • Manage the preparation and coordination of annual external audits and respond to audit queries
  • Oversee monthly balance sheet reconciliations and ensure timely resolution of variances
  • Design and maintain internal controls in line with regulatory and business requirements
  • Deliver continuous improvement initiatives to strengthen the financial control framework
  • Provide guidance and leadership to two direct reports, ensuring development and high performance
  • Support statutory reporting and compliance with applicable UK accounting standards (e.g., FRS 102 or IFRS)
  • Collaborate with the wider finance and operational teams to promote financial best practices
  • Lead or support internal audits, risk assessments, and compliance reviews as required
