Halliday Marx have partnered with a large media business to hire a Finance Manager on an Interim basis for 6 months.
Hybrid working (3 days in the office, 2 from home)
Responsibilities
- Managing 2 people
- Lead the development, implementation, and monitoring of financial control processes and policies
- Manage the preparation and coordination of annual external audits and respond to audit queries
- Oversee monthly balance sheet reconciliations and ensure timely resolution of variances
- Design and maintain internal controls in line with regulatory and business requirements
- Deliver continuous improvement initiatives to strengthen the financial control framework
- Provide guidance and leadership to two direct reports, ensuring development and high performance
- Support statutory reporting and compliance with applicable UK accounting standards (e.g., FRS 102 or IFRS)
- Collaborate with the wider finance and operational teams to promote financial best practices
- Lead or support internal audits, risk assessments, and compliance reviews as required
Non-negotiable requirements
- CA/ACA/ACCA qualified
- Available to start within 1 week
- Experience managing people
- Media experience would be advantageous
- Audit experience
- SAP Experience
