We are seeking an experienced Finance Manager to manage the financial operations of a group of Independent Schools. The role requires strong technical skills, sound judgement, and the ability to work autonomously while supporting senior operational leaders.
Key Responsibilities-
Oversee billing, invoicing, fee collection, and debt recovery.

Prepare monthly management accounts, forecasts, and VAT returns.

Manage ledgers, bank reconciliations, accruals, and prepayments.

Liaise with admissions, HR/payroll, and external stakeholders.

Support audits, statutory returns, and year-end processes.

Supervise finance staff and drive process improvements.

Solid background in accounting and financial reporting.

Proficient in finance systems (e.g. Sage 200) and Excel.

Experience producing management accounts and leading teams.

Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills.

Experience in the Independent Education Sector.

ACA, ACCA, CIMA qualified or equivalent experience
