A leading organisation near London Victoria is seeking a Finance Manager to work closely with the Director of Finance and the Senior Leadership Team to ensure transparent operational accounting. This role is crucial for managing various accounts, producing and reviewing management accounts, and contributing to the strategic direction of the organisation.

Day-to-day of the role:

  • Produce and review management accounts, investigate variances, and take remedial actions.
  • Collaborate with all departments and the management team to help develop budgets and quarterly forecasts.
  • Take responsibility for the ongoing control and reporting of the Balance Sheet, including the completion of Balance sheet reconciliation.
  • Work closely with the company’s auditors to ensure a timely and efficient annual audit for all relevant companies.
  • Liaise with budget holders and auditors and deputise for the Director of Finance in the general running of the finance team.
  • Comply with organisational policy relating to health and safety and equal opportunities.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Relevant financial qualification (CCAB) or Finalist/QBE level.
  • Technical experience and strength in all aspects of Management Accounting.
  • Friendly and approachable with highly effective communication skills.
  • Ability to liaise effectively with both financial and non-financial personnel.
  • Working knowledge of at least one well-known accounting package, ideally Microsoft Business Central.
  • Proven skills in planning and delivery of a complicated budgetary process with an eye for detail.
  • Excellent time management skills, able to prioritise and meet deadlines.
  • Competent user of Microsoft Office and extensive knowledge of Excel.
  • Excellent decision maker, able to strategise and manage risk.
  • Commercially minded with ideally membership sector experience.
