Our client is a boutique, investment-led Multi-Family Office start-up, founded in 2022 with a focus on serving high-net-worth individuals and families from the Far Eastern region. Based in Central London, the firm offers bespoke, holistic, and independent advice across wealth structuring, investment management, and corporate finance.
With a commitment to long-term relationships and personalized service, they are now entering a new growth phase and are seeking an entrepreneurial and experienced General Manager to lead the firm through its next stage of strategic and operational development.
The Role
As General Manager, you will report directly to the founders and play a critical leadership role across the business. You will oversee day-to-day operations, drive business development efforts, and ensure excellence in client service.
Key Responsibilities
- Strategic Oversight: Develop and execute business strategies to drive growth, improve operational efficiency, and expand client relationships.
- Team Leadership: Build and manage a high-performing team across investment, client advisory, and operations.
- Client Management: Foster deep relationships with UHNW/HNW families
- Business Development: Identify new revenue streams, strategic partnerships, and business opportunities in the target region.
- Operations & Compliance: Ensure effective operational processes, risk management, and regulatory compliance aligned with UK and international standards.
- Financial Management: Drive budgeting, forecasting, and overall financial performance to meet agreed KPIs.
Candidate Profile - Must-Haves
- At least 5 years of experience of working in a UK wealth management firm, and possess sound knowledge of all aspects of this business
- People management experience, and able to lead team members in sales/investment/operations to work towards business targets cohesively
- Strong commercial awareness, with a sound understanding of UK compliance environment
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work cross-functionally and represent the business externally
- A hands-on, proactive mindset suited to a growing and entrepreneurial environment
