- Manage the group consolidation process, ensuring compliance with relevant accounting standards.
- Prepare and review consolidated financial statements for internal and external stakeholders.
- Collaborate with regional finance teams to gather accurate and timely financial data.
- Analyse consolidation adjustments and provide explanations for key variances.
- Ensure proper intercompany reconciliations and eliminations are performed.
- Support the audit process by providing required documentation and explanations.
- Assist with the implementation of process improvements within the consolidation framework.
- Provide technical accounting guidance as needed to support the team.
Profile
A successful Group Consolidations Accountant should have:
- A professional accounting qualification such as ACA, ACCA, or CIMA.
- Experience with Oracle (preferable).
- Recent experience within Financial Services.
- Experience in group consolidations within the accounting and finance field.
- Strong technical knowledge of IFRS or UK GAAP standards.
- Proficiency in financial reporting tools and Microsoft Excel.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- The ability to work effectively under time constraints in a temporary role.
