Head of Accounts Payable | 12-month FTC | Logistics & Shipping | £100,000 - £110,000 + discretionary bonus | Central London | JRVB32228
JasperRose has partnered with a world leading maritime business based in West London. This top business is seeking to hire a Head of Accounts Payable on an interim basis for 1 year as a supportive role to the senior leadership team as they go through a Dynamics 365 implementation. Sat within luxury offices, among a strong finance team, you will be on site 5 days per week assessing the AP function and identifying ways to improve systems.
Your role:
Reporting into the Finance Director, you will act an additional layer between the Director of Finance and the Accounts Payable manager, bringing in efficiencies, identifying risks, and streamlining processes/systems.
Key responsibilities include:
- Managing the AP Manager and Payroll teams
- Support the Director of Finance in managing the AP and Payroll teams ensuring they deliver on their BAU tasks
- Oversee processes to ensure compliance is adhered to
- Business partner with the AP Manager and other department heads in relation to the 365 implementation and any escalated issues
- Highlight weaknesses in their financial control processes regarding purchase ledger and payroll, coming up with solutions to solve or improve these areas
- Leading by example with a hands-on approach
- Adhoc support and reporting for the wider finance team
What they are looking for:
The successful candidate will have previous experience in managing complext AP function and have strong experiences with systems transformations. Due to the ongoing projects in the business, prior experience managing change within a team is a must. Prior experience working in the Shipping, Aviation, Pharmaceutical or FMCG industries with the Dynamics 365 system is a bonus. You will need to be a bright and commercial individual with an aptitude looking at improvements for the teams and how the AP and Payroll functions support and add value to the overall business. They will also be QBE or ACA, CA, ACCA or CIMA qualified with a good understanding of financial controls.
